The Toronto Board of Rabbis is Ontario’s oldest and only multi-denominational rabbinic organization, representing the broadest span of rabbis in our city. Our members serve congregations both small and large, and organizations of all kinds. Our rabbis teach in adult, university, teen, family, and school settings, and serve as chaplains in hospitals, long-term care facilities, the military, and prisons.
The TBR operates an annual food drive and is part of an ongoing campaign in support of organ donation within the Jewish community.
When the need arises, the TBR takes the lead on moral issues facing our community.
Proudly, the TBR is actively involved in interfaith work through dialogue, educational programming, and representing the Jewish community at public events.
The TBR also assists individuals who are searching for a synagogue home or a rabbi to officiate at lifecycle events. Jews looking to attend a High Holiday service or Pesach Seder often turn to the TBR for help.
The Toronto Board of Rabbis is an integral part of the Jewish community, leading in many vital ways.
