Interfaith Work

TBR is a longstanding member of the Christian-Jewish Dialogue of Toronto whose goal is “to promote, encourage and facilitate a better understanding between members of the Christian and Jewish communities, with the hope of eliminating the prejudice and bigotry which has marred Christian-Jewish relations for generations.”

TBR is a participant in the Toronto Area Interfaith Council, and the Canadian Interfaith Conversation, and theCanadian Multifaith Federation. We have representatives on the Interfaith Social Action Reform Coalition, and was an active participant in Faith in Canada 150 and the Parliament of World Religions among our other interfaith activities.

Rings of Peace

TBR has been at the forefront of coordinating Rings of Peace throughout the GTA in support of faith groups whose houses of worship have been targets of violence.

Itanu Initiative and Synagogue Accessibility

TBR is an active participant in the Itanu Toronto – the Inclusion Initiative of UJA-Federation.  In addition to our ongoing participation in Shabbat Itanu and other programs, TBR was also involved in facilitating the provinical accessiblity requirements.
